Why I’m a Big Believer in Home Service Franchises

I spend a lot of time helping people explore different franchise opportunities—and one category I keep coming back to is home services.

Full transparency—I’m a franchisor in the space.

But even beyond that, as someone who coaches people to find the right fit, I consistently see why these models make sense for a lot of owners.

A few reasons:

Essential services – These aren’t “nice to have” businesses. People need them.

Lower overhead – Many are home-based with no expensive buildout.

Scalable – Build a team, add trucks, grow territory.

Recession-resistant tendencies – Homes still need maintenance regardless of the market.

But here’s the part that matters most—

These businesses reward operators.

If you’re willing to:

• Build a team

• Market locally

• Follow a system

• Stay consistent

There’s real opportunity to build something meaningful.

That said, it’s not about pushing one category.

My role is to help people figure out what actually fits them—their goals, their lifestyle, and how they want to operate day-to-day.

Home services just happen to check a lot of boxes for the right person.

And when the fit is right… they can be incredibly powerful businesses.
